Swesco Alumni Association – North America initiated a project in 2014 to upgrade the information technology infrastructure at Swedru Senior High School (SWESCO). A fifteen thousand dollar ($15,000.00) phase 1 of the project started in May 2014 and was completed in May 2015. The phase 1 covered development of the architecture and building of a wireless network to offer efficient internet access to students and staff of SWESCO
Under phase 2 of the project, computer laboratories were revamped with new equipment, including servers and workstations. The computer laboratories, staff common and administrative offices have been connected to the wireless network. The Association has also secured a reliable fast internet service for the school. A total of about twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) has been spent on the IT project.
